The State School for Judicial training is an assisting body of the Judiciary’s Judicial Council of Puebla’s Judiciary, which provides training and promotion of a legality culture through  a judicial degree.

This headquarters complex is placed in the Old Palace of Justice, which dates back to the 18th Century, where the Old San Juan Pantaleón school was founded by Domingo Pantaleón Álvarez de Abreu, in1762.

Since 1867 it makes part of the Judiciary buildings of the State of Puebla, first as the Justice Palace and currently as the State School for Judicial Training, which is located in 5 de Oriente number 9 at the Historic Center of Puebla.

On its facade we can see a mixture of brick, Talavera ceramics and a mortar providing a sober design that follows Pueblas’ regulations, which forbade the construction of three floors, for this reason it has a ground floor, a mezzanine and an upper floor. The main floors are separated by a line of modeled impost, as a cornice.

To respect the current construction regulations, the first floor was extended in order to include the mezzanine connected by aligned balconies.

The upper floor also has molding balconies which extend until the entablature or final part differing due to its lack of decoration.

At the entrance it is observed a polygonal arch flanked by huge pillars with moldings that end in cornices, above them we can appreciate the shields of Juan de Palafox y Mendoza; and   Domingo Pantaleón Álvarez de Abreu, first for being the Tridentine schools and second because he was the work sponsor.
